Travel tips for anyone who needs to wear sensible shoes

Well, the nest started to empty……and we started to travel. And then the nest started to slowly fill again.  But, this just means we have built in dog sitters!  So, while the nest isn’t totally empty, the fledglings can run the show while we explore!  

Many friends have suggested I write a travel blog, and so here we are. I started this blog as a way to share my love of travel, art, and food with you. When I start to plan a trip, I read blogs, search the internet, read reviews, and scour maps to make a plan for our visit.  Over time, I noticed most travel bloggers were young, and maybe didn’t have the same interests or tastes as me. So, it is my hope this my blog will be of use to you if you are interested in art, food, culture, history, and museums and want to do all of that while wearing excellent walking shoes so you can walk those 20K steps without hurting your plantar fasciitis, because let’s be real – it’s important.  While I don’t mind taking an insta worthy pic here or there, you will notice most of our selfies are probably taken from the wrong side, the wrong angle, and are more about the moment than the artistry. And I am okay with that. I am going to have to hope that is part of my charm and that you enjoy my goofy, 50 something style.
